NICHOLLS Trying to find the parents etc of Thomas Nicholls b.1799. Or anyone here in Australia who is related to this man, I am looking to producing a book of some sort and would love to find as many of my family as possible. Thomas at the age of 20 was a convicted in Leeds, England, on 25 October 1819 sententanced to 7 years and was transported to the colonies of Australia on 16 April 1820, arriving in Sydney on the Earl of St Vincent 0n 16th August 1820 from Portsmouth Here in Australia he married Catherine Handley, also a convict from Cork Ireland, they had 5 children, Ann, Margaret, Sarah, John & Thomas. cheers Karen, nee Nicholls

Do you know if Son John was born about 1830 and ended up in NZ?

Hi, his grandson Francis Joseph Nichools changed his name to Laurence Claude Keen and ended up in NZ dying there in 1954.
