Trying to gain more information on my Gt. Gt. Grandfather Henry Nicholls b. 1851-52 in London. Emigrated at some time to Australia and married Fanny Dalton 6/2/1873 in Sydney. They had 3 daughters - Alice Maud b. 1876 ( my gt. grandmother), Ellen b. 1874 and Ethel b. 1878. He was listed as a mariner on his marriage certificate, then joined the NSW police force in 1877 and died somewhere between 1883 and 1894 in Sydney where he is listed on his daughter Alice's marriage cert. as deceased. There are SO many Henry Nicholls born in 1851-52 in London, I don't know where to start looking for him. Any help or info greatly received !
