Trying to find any relatives of William Charles Parkes born 9th May 1887 Dale Street, Tipton, Staffs. Father's name George Parkes, Mother - Mary Parkes (formerly Harper). William is my Grandfather. Married Annie Elizabeth Taunton in Bethnal Green London in 1916. Killed in Action in France in 1917. The story is that Annie went to live with William's family with the baby (William George Parkes) My Dad....but came back to London.....there was no further contact between the families. I think that William Charles Parkes had two siblings Thomas Harry Parkes and Charles Parkes. The 1891 census has them listed at 52 New Road, Tipton I have hit a brick wall with this.
