Trying to find Pearson

I am looking for a female relative called Pearson who lived in Leeds during the 2nd World War. I learned from an elderly Aunt, who has subsequently died, that she had three, or four children. Her husband, I think, was killed during the war and she hanged herself in the attic of their house and was discovered by her children - a pretty gruesome story, but quite notable, and I was wondering if anyone else had come across this tale in their family searches.
