Hi I am currently trying to trace back my Nans ancestors. My Nans name was Joan Pennifold before marrying my Grandad James Southon. Joan passed away in November 2007 and has a sisiter called Eleanor. This is all the information i have from this side of my family and i am very keen to learn more. If you can help please contact me. |

By co-incidence in 1901, in Brighton an Albert Pennifold gets married. One of the two ladies is his wife. |

In the 1901 census, Albert is lodging with a Widow, Annie Wymark, (see Marriages above). |

I will look for more on the Pennifold connection, but you will need the marriage cert for Albert & Ellen in 1924 to a) prove the father of Albert William is Albert Victor and b) to identify which Ellen Frances Packham is which. |

It will cost you £7 in the UK and you need to go to the official web-site for certificates, not others as they are expensive. It will take about 7 working days to come through. Their web-site |
