Trying to find Pettitt

I am trying to find any information on William Pettitt (Pettyt, Pettit, Petit, Pettet) coal dealer of Manchester. He and wife (?) Mary had at least one son, James Pettitt, christened in Manchester Cathedral in 1818, married to Rosa Diggins in 1839. I think William had another son, William Henry Pettitt, who was born about 1814/1816, married to Marianne Barnes in 1838. I do not know Mary's maiden name. I only know that she was listed as James's mother on the christening record. There may have been a daughter, Emma, who married Stephen Whittaker in 1837. William's coal business was in Ancoats and they lived near by. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.
