Lewis, (Louis in family bible), son of George & Elizabeth, was born 7-1-1888 in Leicestershire & emigrated to Canada in 1910 with his wife, Beatrice. In later years, he re-married a lady that I only know as Ellie. He was a fitter by trade and later in his career he supervised the installation of heavy machinery in power stations all over Canada. At one time, he lived in Galt, Ontario.
In 1948, he came on a 6 weeks visit to see relatives, and again, about 2 years later. An article in the local newspaper, quoted him as saying that he would have liked to return to his birthplace to live, but due to family commitments, was unable to do so. This intimates that there must be offspring in Canada, so if any of them read this, I would be extremely pleased to hear from you.
