I was a lot younger when I found out where my single last name(Priddis)came from,I was told it was from Wales and its origin was someone who worked the land, maybe a farmer,or could it be a misinterpretation and could the Priddis;s be a titled or landowning stock,if so I would like to know why most of any land or money which were to be my destiny was lost through war or stupidity.. by Marguerite White

Marguerite,
Please refer to my postings on the name origin.
It is definitely not a Welsh name. The confusion may come from it being a Celtic name - but not from Wales, from Cornwall.
Hope this helps
