I am trying to trace descendants of my ggrandfather James Reid who, I believe, was born in Scotland about 1856. He married Minnie Fensome in 1892 at St. Matthews Church, Luton, Bedfordshire. According to the marriage certificate he was single, age 36 and a marine engineer. His father was also James, deceased whose profession was Gentleman. They had 6 children: James b.1884, Alice b.1887 (my grandmother), Frederick b.1890, Eva b.1891, John b.1894 and Robert b.1896. All the children were born in Luton, around the Toddington area. By 1901 Minnie was a widow but I cannot trace a death certificate. |
