Cannot find - Rew, Garner, Cross

On my grandmothers birth cert (Margaret Elizabeth Rew born in 1904) it has her father as Hugh Rew and mother Alice Cross. In Hugh's army records his next of kin is Margaret Elizabeth Garner,

I cannot find the marriage of Hugh and Alice, nor Hugh and Margaret (neither may have been marriages?) but would like to find them. Hugh was born in Scotland in 1864 and ended up in London in the late 1890's after joining the army. He did travel abroad to India and South Africa. I did find an Alice Cross born in India but have not been able to link to Hugh

Any help would be much appreciated.
