Sarah Bennet c1857 Nottingham was my great grandmother.
She married Walter Mann (born c1858 Leicester) vol 7a 268 Leicester. July Sept qtr 1876
I would like to trace Sarahs Parents - can anyone please find Sarah in 1871 census?Thank you

The sure and easy way to start is to order that marriage certificate. It will give you Sarah's father's name and occupation, most likely. Then you can search for her with that father, and for him, in the previous censuses.

There's a very good chance of her name being spelled Bennett in censuses, and there are several Sarahs with that surname, so there's just no way to identify her for sure without a bit more info, and the marriage cert should get you that.

Found this family on 1861 - but there are a few Sarah Bennets. This is the only one saying born Nottingham. However, you really need the marriage cert - which will confirm her father's name.
