im trying to trace my irish relatives. my grandadads name was john scanlon and he lived in limerick my dad seems to think its called rathkeale. his mother had the surname lynch..... i only ever met 2 of his brothers 1 was jim(james) and the other was paddy(patrick). i know he had a sister called mary ann(now deceased) she had 13 children 1 of whom is called katherine. i think her married name may be obrien. she still lives in ireland. my grandads birth date is 9th july 1922 and he moved to manchester in his late teens where he met my nan audrey taunton(she died in 1963/4)he had 2 sons, my dad john(born 1949)steven(born 1962) and 4 daughters katherine(born 1956).,nora,sheila(born 1960),and joyce. my grandad died in 1998 and his 2 brothers that i knew are also deceased now i would love to hear from distant relatives to add to my growing family tree.
