Would like to hear from any descendants of JOSEPH GEORGE SCOTT, born in Saxilby Lincolnshire in 1891, eldest son of David Scott and Mercy (nee WELLS).The family moved to Scotland c1895, a mining village called Mavis Valley near Coatbridge. Joseph later left home and was never heard of again. |

Hiya Joan, not sure if it helps but mavis valley is in Bishopbriggs, also known as jellyhill, this is where the miners lived who worked in cadder pit see link.part of my family Douglas's moved there from Beith and stayed there up until the 50's |
