Hi!
I'm trying to track down a tree containing my great grandfather "William Shakespeare". I don't know much about his birth/ death dates but I would guess at a birth date around 1880 give or take maybe 10 years or so. I know he married a lady named Elizabeth and that they had 5 children, William, Richard, John, Charles and Ruth.
From the midlands, I think the Walsall Wood area but I'm unsure about this!
Can anyone help?

You need to be working backwards. Get the birth cert of one of the kids and you will have Elizabeths maiden name - you can then buy the marriage cert and get both their fathers names and occupations.

How do you know he married an Elizabeth? And when were the kids born and where.
