Trying to find Sibley

Frances Report 4 Aug 2007 14:46

Trying to trace the family of SOPHIA SIBLEY who was born in Antwerp, Belgium, 1819. The name does not sound Belgian - perhaps her parents were English & happened to live in Belgium. Sophia married Robert Leader (b. 1817) and they lived in Stepney, East London. Went on to have 3 children: Robert, Frances (my g.g.grandmother) & Jesse Leader. I have found Sophia & Robert listed on 1841 & 1851 Census but thereafter they disappear. I would love to find out the parents of Sophia Sibley, and whether they were actually Belgian or not, also if she had any siblings. Please contact me if any of these names ring a bell!
