Looking for Siddell connectionsin the Newcastle,Northumberland area.My Grandmother was born Isabella Sutherland Siddell 1891 Byker Newcastle,Daughter of George Matthew Siddell and Elizabeth nee Bulman.Other children of this marriage wereJoseph Bulman Siddell,James Bulman siddell,Thomas Siddell,William Siddell Elizabeth Siddell who married George Langlands,Joan Siddell Grace Siddell,(one of these two sisters emigrated to Australia) My G.G.G.Grandfather was William Matthew Siddell,married to Grace Young.He was born in Corbridge Northumberland,so does anyone have any information? Hi Christina, I know it was a while ago that you posted requesting information on the Siddells in the Newcastle area. William Siddell and Grace Young were my great great grandparents. My late mothers father was Edward (Ted) Siddell - Ted was the son of George Siddell and Elizabeth Bulman. Ted was lost at sea during WW2 on HMS Galatea - he was in the Marines and his name is on the war memorial at Plymouth Hoe. Your grandmother Isabella was my grandfather's sister. I have been able to go back as far as my great great great grandparents - William's parents - Matthew Siddell and Catherine Hopper. If you need any more information let me know.
