Spraggon's of Wales Does anyone have any information on the Spraggon's of Wales. I have a Mark Spraggon born in Sunderland in 1849. He was a master mariner, who then moved down to Swansea, Wales, where he married Caroline Morgan. The had 7 children, David Spraggon, Essie Margaret Spraggon, Thomas Henry Spraggon, Caroline Spraggon, Winifred Jane Spraggon, Mark Spraggon, and Isabel Spraggon. Do these naes ring any bells, within your Spraggon families? Thanks Sarah

Hi Sarah,
No I don't know much information about the Spraggon's. My Spraggon is Hannah born 1833 in Callerton or Callenton, depending on spelling, in Northumberland. She married Richard Palmer also born 1833 in Bishopwearmouth or Sunderland depending on the census year. They lived in Sunderland during their married life and died there before 1881 but after 1871. Hannah lived in Ponteland, High Collerton, Castle ward, Northumberland in 1841 at age 8 with Mary age 40 and Mark age 65.
That's all I know to date.
Best of luck,
Wendy
