STANILAND in Australia I'm trying to find out who Ruby Amelia Staniland was? I think she was Ruby Amelia Ewer born 1887 Wellington NSW. She married WILLIAM J STANILAND 1915 in Annandale NSW Ruby A Staniland was a witness to a Wedding in Croydon in 1942. Bride was Amy Isobel Chambers and Groom was Frederick John Geyer Jackson. Other witness was Amelia B Chin, mother of the Bride. I know Amy lived with a family on the Central Coast around Gosford. Possible son of William and Ruby could be Ernest Richard Staniland who may have married Patricia Watt-Browne in 1946? Can anyone help me with this one? I would love to know more about Amy Isobel Chambers (Farquharson (mother's maiden name)/Chin/Jackson/Bond! |

Sorry to disappoint you, but Ernest Richard Staniland was my father when married to his first wife, Marie, my mother. He married Patricia Watt-Browne in 1946 after the death of my mother. His parents were Ernest and Ada Staniland who both migrated from Nottingham, England in the early 1900's. e have researched our family rigorously, and none of the names you mentioned appear to be part of our tree. Sorry. |
