Carole Stapleton Born Nottingham 23rd October 1950 My father William (deceased) was born on 9th March 1920. His father was called John and his mother was Sarah. I know that the family originally came from County Cork in Ireland. I have contacted with the Reverend James Stapleton, who originally came from Monserrat. He tells me that his family originally came from Ireland during the famine and that a relative became Governor General of the Windward Isles and made a fortune from the slave trade. Would be chuffed to bits if anyone has more information
