Hi I am trying to tranck down my great ,garandfather Listed as in 1881 Cencus, as living at :- Bottom Boat Wrenthorpe,Yorkshire Joe Stringer 26yrs Pot sinker , Born Wakefield,Yorkshire married to :- Janet Gourley 26yrs Born Scotland ???? Duaghter Elizabeth A Stringer 3yrs Born Wakefield, Yorkshire and My Grandmother Mary Johnston Stringer 1 yrs Born Stanley, Wakefield,Yorkshire

Hi IAN
I don't know if we have a connection or not but my family come from the Wakefield area
ie Crigglestone,Stanley,Rothwell etc.And I have found a Joesph Stringer born Wosboro in 1828 +/-1 yr.The rest of his siblings was born in Crigglestone.But please view my tree to find out if my Joesph Stringer is a ancestor.
