My great-grandfather was henry Crapper. We do not have his birth cert. born in Ireland1851. Some-time he came to oxford, and married. IHe named his daughter cecilia mary norton crapper. I found a marriage in Ireland of a william and mary norton 1849. Her middle names was that of mary norton. seems very likely it is henrys parents. In 1861 there is a Mary crapper, masha, and henry on the England census. No sign of William. and mary is head of house. In oxford 1864 a mary married a richard stroud. (STROUD) Does any-one have info on a mary who was a widow by the name of crapper and married richard stroud. Carol |
