My name is Ryan Alex Paul Swan this is my first search into my family history, and i am sad to say that, i know very little about it. My fathers name is Colin david stephen swan and his father was Jame Joseph swan who married Mary josephine kelly before changing her name to swan. Both gran parents are Irish before moving over to England, London. My aim is to try and trace back as far as i can go however i have been told of an uprising in Ireland Dublin in 1911 or 1914 that some Irish family history was destroyed how true this is i don't know, but my aim is to find out as much as possible, any help or history about Ireland and the swans would be a great help.
