Hi
I am trying to find my father's brother or his descendants who may still be living in the Dorchester Dorset area.

My fathers name was William Daniel Joseph Tanner.his brother Herbet Tanner would now be in his 90's.
We believe he served in the Dorset regiment during world war 2 and that he married a Dorchester girl.

The Tanner family lived in North Kensington, where my father was born on may 11th near the portabello road.
He was the second son of Edith Ellen Tanner(nee Kirby) and Robert Tanner who served with the army in France.
Sadly,he was killed in the Battle of the Somme on August 16th three months after my father was born.
My grandmother,Edith Tanner later remarried a man called Shepard and had a second family.
Unfortunately my father and his stepfather didn't get on with each other and my father was sent to an orphanage in Torquay where he lost touch with his older brother.
If anyone has any information I would be very grateful
Thanx Chris
