Trying to find Tarrant

I am trying to find any info on Arthur James Tarrant. Born 1913. at Eastry. He is entered on birth records with the name Tarrant, mothers surname Letchford, It is believed his father (died/left) when he was very young, and his mother died when he was about 8 - he spoke about his mother as being a Medium - who had a spirit guide (something which may prompt a memory), After the death of his mother it appears he went to live with the Caddamy family in the Notts area. Head of house 'Cad' and l think his wife was Flo. I remember it being a large family. One particular member was called Wilfred (it was as if my dad and wilf were like brothers), Wilf married Shelia, and they had two children Colin and Patsy. For some reason they never visited us at NW6 following my fathers death in 1979 - something to do with my fathers accordian, which he played in a band in his younger days-ruffled sleeves and all. I remember my father saying he came from Diss, Norfolk, but that is about all l have on his background - so ANY help would be more than appreciated - thank you. ** A big thank you to Geoff and Harry for helping me, l now have made headway - now need to find the Caddamy family, perhaps they can tell me how my father got from Kent to Norfolk, then Nottingham - but l am getting there - which l never thought l would be able to say!
