Perhaps we are related??

A 'Thomas John Herridge' was my Great Grandfather on my mothers side of the family, born Ebbw Vale 1874, he is listed in the 1881 census with his father Henry.

Henry Herridge on the 1881 census was shown as being born in 1848, wiltshire. In the 1851 census he is shown as being born in 1848 mere, wiltshire.

Now having looked up here the information supplied by others I cannot see a direct link between your herridge's and mine but seems to much of a conicidence that my herridge family also came from mere and ended up in ebbw vale!!

Actually I would like to find out about Hannah Herridge B1843 Mere Wiltshire. married 1861 to Alfred Lawrence. I still have more that I would like on Andrew and Emma, it is the children that I am looking into but I will have to leave that for now as I have to put down all of the names. If you could look into Hannah I would appreciate it

I spent all my working life researching in libraries ..... it was about plants in those days, but I think I get a "feel" for how to search and dig out things.

Getting the contact wiht George's second cousin would be a big help to you!!

You seem to have it down to a tee, thank you so much, I am going to be busy tonight once again looking through everything before getting back on tomorrow to find out what is left to look into. You possitively amaze me with what you come up with. The reason I know a little bit on these people is because I found a second cousin for George and she sent me out a background of the family, just names birth year, partner and year of marriage and because William and Elizabeth Price is her line she has given me more names, dates etc and I am trying to fill in the gaps which are quite a few.
