Can't find a marriage for Charlotte to Abraham Buchanan. Do you think he might be the one in the 1871 census entry that Alex found?
Just wondering about 'Team Owner' and 'Steam Tug Owner'?

Christina.

Thats a great bit of detective work. I think you are right about Ada's mother Charlotte.

Christina

Thats fantastic!!!!!!!!!

Seems like that is the one, I guess on Ada's marriage certificate, for the sake of propierty perhaps, she said her father was Abraham J-B.

Will look into all of that now.

Thank you so much

I was serious about him owning a team of horses - got this from a website on old professions

TEAMER / TEAMER MAN / TEAMSTER - person in charge of a team of horses

Hi Selena

Thanks for that, I think that is probably correct. Liverpool was very industrious at that time, so i guess there was a call for a large number of horse teams.
What website are you looking at, can I ask.

Julia
