Also I found on 1841 census, William was the head of the family at the same address as previously mentioned. And also on 1861 census, there were a number of occupants living at that address.

William - marriner - head of the family
Sarah - school mistress
Sarah E 21 - shoebinder
Emmeline 19 - domestic servant
John W - 17 - hay cutter
Samuel - 12 - scholar
Suzannah - 8 - scholar

But for 1851 - unable to find.

Susannah Crisp is married to Charles Tuckwell on 1901 but it says she was born Essex? - Several children with her from a previous marriage so it looks like whe wasn't born a 'Crisp' ?

Thats great - thanks very much.
Susannah got married in 1900 - she would have been 47?
I havent been able to find her on any of the other census' - are you sure that that is the right Susannah?
Thanks, Lucy

I found her on 1871 England Census living with
Sarah C Crisp - widow - seamstress (b.1816) head of the family. Other occupants were Sarah E Crisp unmarried - shoe-binder (36 years) and Susannah Crisp - domestic servant (18 years) Both daughters. Elizabeth Holland was the grand-daughter.

Also on BMD Susannah got married in March 1900 - Tendering 4a 627. Husband's surname either Tuckwell or Waller as their christain names were Charles!

Sarah C Crisp according to BMD passed away in September 1882 - at the age of 67 - Tendering 4a 209.

They lived at 77 Lawford Street Lawford Rochester Essex England.

Also for 1881 all the same except for Susannah.

Hope this helps.

Elizabeth Holland born in Belgium in 1870, living with her grandmother Sarah C Crisp in Essex from 1871 onwards. Does anyone have any information on who her parents might be or know anything about her? Thanks, Lucy
