LancashireAnn, This makes a lot of sense to me. One of my ancestors was born out of wedlock. I was told the story but I wasn't interested in my family history at the time. I really believe you have solved this story. |

Austin, Thank you. Yes, my granddads mothers maiden name was Calvert. I am going to order the certificate. |

Oh, I think you said mother's maiden name was Calvert? So Tamworth birth is correct: |

Shirley, I presume Pauline's trying to find the Albert from the 1911 census at the top of the page- with parents, Robert & Sarah? |

Hi everyone, I have just started doing my tree again. I have bought 3 certificates for my granddad Albert Edward Evans and they were the wrong ones. I have worked out that he was born on the 11/06/1902 Bolehall and Glascote County/Island: Warwickshire. Can anyone please help me find the right one. |

Yes it was Sarah. She was born in Manchester and her maiden name was Calvert. |

Thank you both so much for all this information. I guess I am the Pauline that has the tree. I have not been able to find my grandads birth certificate so far. The one Vivienne has with Ella May on it is the right one. There was a Mary Emma who seems to have disappeared from the census. She was born in 1896? |

After a search of trees this Albert Evans birth year matches up to one in a tree that has the name Pauline as owner. |

Maybe with the year and place of birth of at least Grandfather Albert they may be able to be found on 1911 census and then it can all be checked that info is correct? |

You have said you think they were living in Bargoed at the time of your grandfather Albert Edwards birth. Do you have his birth certificate which would prove both his parents names. |
