Find Ancestors

My great grand mother was Amelia Richards who married George Chaston her second husband was James Robbins.Amelia's parents were ELIZA UNKNOWN as she used many names on the childrens birth certificates and her father was JOHN RICHARDS, now he was born c1843 but not in this country,my grandmother always said her inlaws came from africa as the pictures I have of Amelia shows that she was of negro descent,someone in the family says he came to england with a brother from Bermuda I can find no birth certificate for john,so if anyone out there can help i would be very grateful.I under stand he came here only a matter of years before he married if they did marry.and maybe thats why Eliza used many names as nothing is known of her father maybe they disowned her because of john being black??
John died 15/8/1924 aged 81 yr old wife Eliza died10/9/1925 aged 80 yrs old both buried at finchley cemetary.
