Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:30

A lot of the information coming up seems to point to the bromsgrove/droiwich, the dates coincide but i am not so sure, and why cant i find the birmingham info, i know for sure some of my other family members were born in birmingham, but can't find them either! i finally after 3 months today found my other gt gt grandads marriage in birmingham by a sheer fluke i think! haha

Mary Ann Harbourne is not on the 1861 census... so there is a good chance the one Lindsey has found is her....

Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:35

If thats her i wonder who her parents are, the spooky thing is my cousins dad was married into a harbourne family in birmingham before he married my dads sister, i am wondering if they are connected, how strange!!

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:36

But in 1851 she is with George & Ann Chambers, who she was also with in 1861....

Wonder if there is another close family link somehow?? has she married a cousin?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:38

George's wife Mary... could she be a Sargant or Harbourne by birth?

Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:40

Who know's wayne/tracey, this is getting more complex by the minute!!

Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:42

Wayne/tracey Isaacs sister is called mary!! maybe we have a link, i havent found her marriage details yet, i only mainly know the direct iinfo link to isaac, other members are a bit sketchy still

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:43

Possibly your George....

Maybe need to see who the daughter marries?

1841 England Census

Name: George Chambers
Age: 30
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1811
Gender: Male
Where born: Warwickshire, England

Civil Parish: Beaudesert
Hundred: Barlichway (Henley Division)
County/Island: Warwickshire
Country: England

Registration district: Stratford on Avon
Sub-registration district: Wootton Wawen

Elizabeth Chambers 8
George Chambers 30
Mary Chambers 35

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:45

Maybe the link isn't Mary...

GEORGE CHAMBERS

Marriages:
Spouse: MARY PRICE Family
Marriage: 25 DEC 1828 Aston Juxta Birmingham, Warwick, England

Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:48

Just when i thought i was getting somewhere wayne/tracey lol

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:51

Lindsey found you this...

1861 census
CHAMBERS, George Head Married M 50 Furniture Broker
Birmingham
Warwickshire
CHAMBERS, Mary Wife Married F 54
Birmingham
Warwickshire
SARGENT, Mary Ann Niece Married F 19
Birmingham
Warwickshire
SARGENT, James Nephew Married M 20 Wood Turner
Birmingham
Warwickshire
HARBOURNE, Betsey Niece F 11
Birmingham
Warwickshire

Betsey Harbourne is a Neice unmarried (so Harboune is real name)
James Sargant is a Nephew married (male so Sargant is real name)
Mary Ann Sargant is a Neice married (Female married so Sargant not real name)

But are all related to George & Mary Chambers?

Either the enumerator had his knickers in a twist... or we have children from multiple sibling marriages

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:56

Possibly James's marriage...

Marriages Dec 1858

CLARKE Abraham Foleshill 6d 551
Johnson Sarah Foleshill 6d 551
Sergeant James Foleshill 6d 551
Williams Ann Foleshill 6d 551

As George was a Furniture Broker and James was a wood turner.... could he have been living with his Uncle for work purposes?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 12:58

I've just realised... we need to be looking at maybe George's SISTER'S to see whom they married?

Maybe George is the link? His sisters have married into the Harbourne & Sargant familes?

Which gives more credibility to the theory that Mary Ann married a Cousin?? Maybe James Brother?

Faye

Faye Report 5 Apr 2008 12:59

So what i need to find is where James sargent fits into it, he could be a child of isaacs fathers brother, i don't know who isaacs fathers siblings are as hes married by the first census in 1841 so can get no idea of who his parents/siblings were :o(

You could be onto something there wayne/tracey!

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Apr 2008 13:03

well they need to be related to George or Mary to be their direct relatives.... Issac is only the link ATM thru marriage?

There is probably a co-incidental relation with Isaac with the cousin link?
