He had a brother named Terrence who as far as i know died young in the army. His father was either Elias or Lewis Elias Anderson.
I am going to order the birth certificate and will send you a message when it arrives. Thanks alot, your help is much appreciated.

Its always possible your grandfathers mother was the one who was Native American Indian - although often it turns out there isn't any connection at all and it might be some other ethnicity altogether! Family tall tales and all that!
