Janette that could be him, but is that ones death recorded at 1916 as this herbert graham married in 1918.
there are two in that area around that time that are making me dizzy thanks

Cheetham is a district of Manchester. There is a birth for Herbert Graham j/f/m 1885 ref 8d 312 Manchester. Could be him. Like Linda, cannot find Herbert Graham with that number. Being from Manchester would have thought he would have been in Royal Lancs or Manchester regiment.

thanks anyway that little herbert you found went on to have a son and called him alfred, bet it was after his brother

in 1918 address was given as 13 north street cheetham, thats manchester way

hi thanks for trying herbert grahams father was jeremiah graham iron...something cant read.
the witnesses were james ward and frances morrell

hi a marriage cert arrived today showing a rank number but not sure of the regiment.
its for a HERBERT GRAHAM claims hes 33 yrs old in 1918 making his year of birth 1885 ish.
it says private in looks like r.g.d. no 338631
he married in cheetham manchester, but where he was born dont know.
can anyone find anything out at all please, with thanks
