Find Ancestors

walter charles would be my grandad which we later found out was born 1923 and was indeed twins with ernest there is also another set of twins Mary also known as molly & anne (1928) all born in leatherhead. i am now trying to find out about george holder born 1840 in Surrey as we have no information about his side of the family. could you be a relation??

Hi Sian, As Lindsey has already found for you, George Holder, born 1840 in Cobham married Matilda Summerfield in 1st quarter of 1880 (1/1880)
George died 3/1894 age 56. They had the following children :- 4/1882 Harry-- 3/1884 Alice-- 2/1886 George William--2/1888 Ellen-- 1/1890 Ernest Albert--2/1891Thomas--3/1894 Edith Mary--2/1897 Walter Charles.
Matilda then married George William Summersby 4/1899.
More recent public BMD records show, the children of Walter Charles and Edith Weller appear to be :-
2/1923 Ernest.T--2/1923 Henry (twins?)--3/1927George--1/1929 Edith.E.M--4/1933 Margaret.J.I -- 2/1936 Elizabeth.A.A --2/1936 Marie.J. (another twin?)
However, I could find no record of the birth of a Walter Charles Holder c1926.

Im sorry it looks a jumble but in order to find Walter in trailed back a hundred years . What you need to do is follow each of his brothers and sisters to see who they married then you will have a whole heap of relatives ,, anyway it was fun, thanks for being so patient. nite Lx

No George Holder was the first husband then she married Summersby but it looks as if all her first family kept the name holder. I know its a big jigsaw puzzle

has several children including your Walter

George dies, Martha remarries and has baby Summersby but all the children stay Holders.

Henry her brother hangs around !

Aha Mother is badly writen Its Charlotte Sommerfield born c 1832 Field worker, married/ so not a widow

where is Hubby? at war or in prison ?So if I cant find her father you may need to buy Henry or Martha/matildas birth cert to find out fathers name .

Now I have to go back to find who her parent Chastoke was another mis spelling !

George is her first husbandwho must have died before 1880 remarriage, so the other children are walters siblings
Henry Summerfield is her brother because as you see her maiden name was Summerfield Tarahhhh!!!!
