Hi jennifer
Yes 1891 where Frances is a widow must be correct as John died in 1883.
William had married Fanny Chillingworth in Sep Q 1881 and all kids ages seem to match with what I have.
Thanks for the info.

Margaret
Andy found a marriage between those 2 in Jun Q 1842, maybe you found them by accident!

I think he must have changed his occ if it's the same John, I think we have the right 1851 and 1861 but he wasn't with Frances in 1871 that Glitter Baby found.
The ages add up on this one though.

OOPS! My mistake, Cassie, I mis-typed Middleton. It was Millington. I'll go back and correct it.

Thanks for that margaret, it's a possiblity that Middleton was mistaken for Millington.

That could be a possible one as George was 4 in 1851 census that Andy found. Maybe Maria and henry are his wife and son. I wonder where John ( husband ) was?? !!
Thanks for looking Glitter baby

The marriage is on IGI:
John Millington married Frances Neeld, 20 June 1842, Castle Church, Stafford, England.

A possible sister? If so gives father's name John.
Emily Millington married Charles Bate, 27 Dec. 1843, Castle Church, Stafford, England. Father John.
(Just realized it doesn't say whose father was John!)

If 1871 is wrong then so is the 1861 as both have same occupation

LiverBird1

LiverBird1 Report 13 May 2008 18:26

That doesn't look like my family then as Frances died in 1894 and John was a carter in 1881
Thanks for spotting that, Cassie
