Cathy,

Don't know if you can help, but here goes. Trying to trace a marriage between a William Goler and a Frances (surname unknown). Info from the Clothworkers Co., London give a detailed account of where and when they lived - they received charity payments from 1798 to 1862 ! (Nothing changes). I know there first child was born in 1796 and baptised at Cripplegate. However, according to the Relief Book Frances gave her date of marriage as 18.8.1811. If this is correct they were living in Hort Street, Cripplegate at the time. Do any of your registers cover this.

Real long shot - Frances gives her date of birth as 28.8.1775 and date of baptism as 24.9.1775 and place as Clerkenwell. Any chance without a surname of finding this - should think highly unlikely. Any Goler you turn up will be related as there were so few of them !!

Hope you can help, but not holding my breath.

Heather
