Maybe it does say London Soho and the writing is extremely bad...

I like a challenge!!

According to the BMD there is no corresponding birth for him!

....being a Journeyman, it could be interesting lol

Doesn't help the Transcriber has got their knickers in a twist...

It's def not London, the word ends in a Y..... trying to decipher it now.

Hi. The copy I have gives 's. The childrens births certs were also signed Johns.

1901 census. Henry JOHNS. Boarder. Age 50. Bootmaker, Born London Soho.
Thats all I have about this man who had two illegitimate children with my grandmother. Both were given the name of JOHNS and he registered both births

Hi Tracey.
The details I have given about Henry were from the 1901 census when he was working and living in Aldershot.
Can find absolutely nothing about this chap in any previous census. Dud

Can i just add, there are no Henry Johns born in London in 1850..... I assume Johns is his surname??

Do you have him on other census's?

You can do address searches incase he is still living in the same house as 1901 or 1881....

Still hunting for Henry Johns b.1850, U, Bootmaker, London Soho.
