Thanks Vera I should theres a good chance thats him, remember ages were rounded up or down by 5 years of adults in 1841, so if he was really 26, that would make him born 1815, there dosn`t seem to be too many joseph boons around, so fingers crossed that may be him, can you see him in any later census.?

Why did people live on their own??? didn`t they realise how difficult it was going to be for us to trace them nearly 200 years later.???!!!!!! lol

YesI`m pretty sure thats her, the age is exactly right she was born 1793, the baptism is on the IGI, parents Edmund and Sarah Spink.

Apparently if you look at the image in 1851 it does say Craggs, and her name on her brothers Will is definetley Craggs not Cragg.

Thanks Linda, but still no trace of the elusive
Joseph!

Edit....Snap Vera..."elusive" is the word I just used.

I have been looking at the NBI discs to see if there is a death, but I can't see one.

I assume this is sarah

Sarah Craggs
Year of Registration: 1860
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Cambridge (1837-1935)
County: Cambridgeshire
Volume: 3b
Page: 364

with a matching burial
19 Mar 1860 Sarah CRAGGS 67 Cambs Cambridge, St Clement

although the age is out so it may not be her, plus there is an S on the end of Craggs which she didn't have on the census
