UUMMM,

There's a Mary deveraux born 1891 Liverpool. On the 1901 census she is with her family, mum Johanne. family above is Murphy, living at Hopwood street. Ellen Mccormick is Mary murphy's neice.

I did a look for mccormick, Liverpool. cannot remember if it was for you V.

What about this one???

Deaths Mar 1926 (83%)
Murphy Martin 38 Prescot 8b 848

she would be a widow with this one, dates only out slightly, but this could be due to how his birth falls.

2nd thoughts
martin must have died as christina married another man from the same street in 1926
unless he did a runner and she said he died?

None by looks of it
les plunkett and mary ellen devereux
chris was at burlington rd as per 1926 m.c and with anthony her dad and martin was at bond st
ie next street
still havent found chris in 1901 with address searh of burlington rd so will miss that census for now.
but it looks more and more like the b word for the 2nd marriage
i really wanted to find this death of martin cos hes the grandad and so little is known of him
