Back again.
Well i have just returned from my holiday and only managed to get an hour at Ottery St Mary to do some research as the whole family didnt want to go sight seeing as it was raining, so decided to hover around in the library while im trying to discover more info, NOT HAPPY.
i did manage to get a few things written down but would have loved to go more parish record info than what i have, i did ask if this was on cd format but no-one was able to help so i shall have to return again in two weeks time for a Saturday morning to continue my research.

Yes, they have 3 copies. I think it's the same book, if you go to the website and put in the ISBN number it should bring them up. It looks like the site is similar to Amazon and they advertise books for other sellers.

I have been on the phone today to Ottery St Mary library with ref to a book i was after, Long Ago in Ottery St Mary there are only four left that anyone know's about and the library has one on the shelve, in this book on page 162 it mentions the Ebdons as being one of the oldest names in Ottery along with Salter, well John Ebdon married an Amelia Salter.
I have arranged to go and view the parish records that they have, going back to 1601 in two large Vol books on the 27th Sept on my way to cornwall for a holiday so this will be a good start.

She's only listed as a lodger in 1851 and Ind in 1841, but if these are small towns/villages then it's possible theirs a connection to the two families. Also if you look at Sarahs marriage and notice the other spouse is John Sier, then look at who John Ebdon married - Eleanor Sier. At this rate you could end up related to the whole village!!!! lol

This is Walters birth cert numbers i have this bit.

In the 1841 census John and Millony have a daughter Sarah age 15yrs and then in the 1851 census they are seen as having a daughter Elizabeth age 16 yrs but neither are on the census together?
