Perhaps they were just living together and said they were married.

There is no marriage on FreeBMD even after 1901.

No but I had help to find the death of Frederick first wife in 1883. Ellen and frederick had children together by the time of the 1901 census. Their olderst child at that time was nine. Ellen had two previous children of 14 and 15, in the 1901 census.
Thank you for looking

Hello,

I'm looking for a marriage betweeen my Great grandparents? Frederick Chapman and Ellen Younger, Formerly Edmonds. I have been looking for the last two days to no avail.

I know my Great grandfather was a widower in 1891 (census) and married in the 1901 (census). They were living in Camberwell, Peckham area of London at the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading this.

Kind regards,
Sandra
