I don't know - possibly not - if she was named on the baptism - he was 3 weeks old at the time.

any year of death for Esther.
Any chance she could be his stepmother i.e fathers 2nd wife so not on 1901 census?

David

David Report 29 Oct 2008 20:54

No, it doesn't.

***Rose Tea***

***Rose Tea*** Report 29 Oct 2008 18:24

does it have mothers maiden name on batism record david

David

David Report 29 Oct 2008 18:09

No, it wouldn't be. Electoral lists show a Thomas Edward Cook and Esther Cook living at 45/46 Cecil Street, Birmingham in 1925. My grandparents were actually living around the corner at 116 New Summer St at the time (though not shown on the electoral lists until around 1926, when Ellen appears). They did live at 46 Cecil Street when daughter Ellen Rose was born in 1922. 45 and 46 were together - 45 was a shop.
I've been trying to get info on Thomas Edwin Murray (b. 31/08/1920) - first child of Edwin and Leah Murray. I've got her other 3 children accounted for (births and deaths) but no luck on him.

Well, they ended up in the Newtown area in the 20's. I've checked the 1901 census on Ancestry.co.uk at the library and no luck.
