BINGO !!!!!!!!!!

Seaham Lass has put up the 1861 - Joseph in the same house as Mary Eroh!!!!!!!

If you look at the image it is Mary CROSS !!!!!!!!!!

This has to be your Joseph and the marriage above confirms.

You are very welcome Valerie,

It comes with practice - It takes a couple of years and a lot of time and effort but once you become 'addicted' you start to 'feel your way' around the mistranscriptions and mis-spellings (and downright lies!!) on census's and start to knit the clues together.

You will get there!!
