I can but can only do the 1901 & 1881

Sue found them on the 1891 on find my past...and i couldn't find them on ancestry

Julie - The real point of the post was to show there was more than one way to get marr info in Lancs, but since you mention it, neither index has all the details that the other has, specifically: quarter of rego from the GRO; which church register and the exact spouse (deduced from entry #) and occassionally alternate names for the parties from the local RO.
In addition, if one wished to buy from one location, the ref for the other location, whilst helpful, isn't really what's needed.

mgnv - I agree.
The main reason for giving the lancs bmd info is to highlight the extra info it contains such as the actual church or if it was 'registrar attended' that it might have been an RC marriage. It is sometimes possible with that info to find the details needed without having to buy a certificate. (not too often admittedly - but possible)
