The Steadman family are next door neighbours who the transcibers took as liiving in same house as the Jennings.

Census birthplaces do vary and i suspect she was born in London and the Grandparents- if indeed these are the Grandparents just said Yes on the born in county section.Quite often when a baby is born the eldest is sent to Grandparents and i have seen the eldest remain with Grandparents and away from parents in future census records. With the large families people had in those days i guess it was for financial reasons mainly.

Hi Al
I know its getting late, but I confused!!!!!!!!!!! What sort of place is it?

Indeed it is very weird, Ada was baptised St pancras but was missing on the 1841 in the family home with her Father Francis Green and mother Caroline, However Sylvia found the family on the 1851 (no ADA) but there are Steadman/Stedman people in the house..........oh heck!

I will post the details of the later census. see what you think

He was def on something Alice!!!Was clear these were seperate families. They do keep us busy these transcribers don't they!

Couldn't see on the 1851 Ada born in Suffolk matching the 1841.Do you have Caroline's maiden name Ann?So it could well be Ada with Grandparents?
