Dee~ Yes that is the correct family.
The 11 year old Mary E Brader is actually Elizabeth Mary Brader, known as Polly. She is on photograph with Lizzie so they cannot be the same person.

The photograph shows every member of the household in that 1891 Census, plus the elusive Lizzie. It was taken approx 5 years earlier than Census.

Roy~ No i dont...its on my list!

However, i do know the following:
Mary Eleanor Hutton, born approx 1857 Killingholme, daughter of John Hutton and Mary Jane Fisher.

George was born approx 1854, no idea who his parents were (the reason i need the marriage certificate!)

Thanks Roy and Victoria for your input.
Nellie said that Lizzie was her sister, but you are both right, it just doesn't seem to fit. Maybe that was what Nellie believed but it wasnt actually true?

I havent been able to trace Mary Eleanor or George Thomas prior to their childrens births so i dont know if they had any siblings that could have been Lizzie's parents.

Nellie was registered as Nellie at birth, so i assumed Lizzie was not a nickname. I suppose it could have been though. Maybe Elizabeth or Isabel?

Victoria ~ I think you have Wilson Fisher under the wrong heading, he was born in 1880 and didnt die then.

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 2 Feb 2009 00:04

Are you sure that Lizzie is an older Sister and not a cousin or friend, also could Lizzie have been a nickname for her.

If she is abt 4/5 years older, then when did mum give birth as all the other children' birth does not leave a big enough gap for Lizzie unless she was the first born?

But she is not with them on the 1881 census either

I would be grateful for any help in searching for information on Lizzie Myatt, daughter of George Thomas Myatt and Mary Eleanor Hutton.

George and Mary Married in 1876 in Caistor.
They had the following children:
Thomas John (1878) Caistor
George (1879-1879) Caistor
Wilson Fisher (1880) Caistor
Nellie (1883) Caistor
and Lizzie....

I have a family photograph taken when Nellie was around 2, so approx 1885. In the photo is her older sister Lizzie (i would say approx 4-5 years old.)

The problem is that i can find no trace of a birth for a Lizzie Myatt and she does not appear on the 1891 Census with the family.

The family is on Grimsby on the 1891 Census. Mary has remarried George Brader and George Myatt is deceased.

Thanks
