John Hunter b 1862 Kirkcudbright, Scotland. His father was John Hunter and Mother Mary Shaw who married in 1834. He migrated to Aust and married Jemima Wilson b 1863 Kilmarnock, Scotland, she migrated to Aust in 1883. Her parents were John Wilson (a blacksmith) and Mary Simpson. I am unable to find John Jnr or Jemima Wilson's families in the Scotish Census records of 1871. Can anyone help?

I cannot find a John Hunter with a mothers name of Mary Shaw born between 1861 and 1863 in Kirkcudbright??

There are 2 born in 1861 one to a mother called Isabella (illegitimate) and one to a mother called Mary Browning, fathers name William.

There is a Jemima Wilson on 1871 England Census. Father John, mother Mary. Born abt. 1863 Scotland. Sisters Helen & Maggie aged 16 & 14. Would it be your Jemima. In Carlisle, Cumberland, England. Could be why you can't find her on Scotland census.
