	Gillian,Mums was in the Family records centre in Islington london.They have moved now and as far as i know all there records went to Kew. Annie

I live in Stockport so London is a long way to go do you know wether there is any other places available to view these records .... I am not 100%of the year only she was born in 1953 and according to my uncle she was about two or three when she was taken from home... He remembers it very well... I will carry on with my search for my uncles sake has he wants to find her. Member Since: August 2006 Posts: 46 Send Message	Hi sheila thankyou for your reply Just say my Aunt was never told she was adopted and she hasnt been in touch with any of the places that hasn't been mentioned when she was getting married well if she was getting married would she use the adoption certificate also if she wasnt given her birth certificate by adopted parents and she was old enough to get her own which one would she use for a passport..unless she never travels I think I will never be able to find her.. I think I will mull my options over for a couple of days Kind REGARDS Gillian

I am extremely interested as I am looking for my aunt who was adopted from birth in 1943 from a maternity home which is proving difficult as her name has changed I believe and the local council offices are ignoring all mails for infomation on whether they have the adoption records as some are held and some are not from that time. Any help you can provide would be most grateful as you know time is moving on so we would all like to find everyone before it is too late. Many Thanks Alicia
