I did state this at the begining. I am a novice at this and (as you) I assumed it was my thomas as it was the only one I could find.
I have been looking for information now for months and just dont know what to do now

Im totally confused now...
If he was 24 in 1893 when married mayve the death is not his in 1900 as it states he was 30.
My nan Annie was born jun 1900 and her birth cert says he is deceased, which mean he must of died 1889/1900

The 1900 death fits with the birth info.........check the 1901 census info I posted. And her mother is a widow, which also fits..................

Ages were not as certain then as they are now..............they didn't have Clinton cards shops then!!

You haven't said who the witnesses were on the marriage cert.................

I checked with my source and she tell me that the tomas you have information on his her great grandmothers brother and that he is buried in the same grave as Johm and jane and it state the death as 17 Mar 1907.
so where do I go from here,

Wendy

Wendy Report 6 Mar 2009 23:28

the witnesses are William Dumbill and Lucy Clarke
(well thats what I think they say (writting is hard to make out)
does not really shed anymore light on the problem really.

just thought a recap was in order as we dont seem to be getting far:
Thomas Owen. JAN 1893 Age 24 married sarah ellen crank
In warrington occupation Labourer his father is John Owen (think is occupatiion is Farmer)
Wintness are William Dumbill and Lucy Clarke (again the writting is hard to read).
My Grandmother Annie Owen in Warrington Jun 1900 shows him as deceased.
I found a death in 1900 of a thomas owen aged 30 in warrington, so I presume this is him.

I thought I found him in the census BUT THIS IS NOT HIM
Birth: 27 Mar 1870 - Alderley, Cheshire, England
Parents: John Owen, Jane Emma Hulme
But then after all that it shows
Death: 17 Mar 1907 - Nether Alderley, Cheshire, England
Anthe source that this comes from tells me that he is in the same grave as his mother and father John& Jane and that she has seen the gravestone.

So if anyone can help I would be grateful.
Thanks
Wendy
