Fairthorn is a person! (I've never been quite sure whether a male person or a female person -- maybe s/he will tell us on return.)

Several of us do make a point of letting others know when there are duplicate threads about, because they make us extremely irritable when we spend time doing the same thing other people have done.

You send a message to Jean in the morning and then keep us posted.

Sally -- I couldn't see the address at all, because I don't pay there.

That isn't what the address would have been for the listing I saw though, because it doesn't match up with the number of Xs in the address::

XXXX X XXX XXXXXX XXXXX
LONDON XX XXX

But -- Jean may have got a more recent listing. As long as it's for the two names together, then it seems it has to be them.

We don't post people's addresses here now, you know! (Imagine if someone put your address on the internet, somewhere you didn't even know.) You should delete that address from your post (just use the Edit link in the bottom corner).

I can't match the names to that post code on the electoral list or at BT on line, but I'm sure that if Jean knew what you were after, that's what she gave you!

EvieBeavie Report 11 Mar 2009 14:47

Ah, well that has to be the right one that Jean gave you.

There could be bad news, I've wondered about all along. Your dad could have died between the time of that electoral roll listing and now. Since the deaths index only goes to 2005, we wouldn't know if that were the case.

I would definitely get in touch with her using Jean's directions, and cross your fingers tight.

i have sorted out my 192 problem have found the address you found i will just put 151 you tell me if thats what you found oh my god i dont believe it could be too late or he could be in prison could he thanks evie sally

EvieBeavie

EvieBeavie Report 11 Mar 2009 16:08

Sally! Listen now -- I didn't find *any* address because I don't pay to access the site! I don't know what "151" is. If you want to send me a message privately (click on my name) to tell me what Jean gave you or what you have, I'll be happy to look at it, but if Jean gave it to you, it must be solid!

Okay, I remember the name of the street, so if I tell 192.com to look for that ... yes I can see now what Jean got you for Ann O'M. (I don't know what "151" is still!)

This time she has a middle initial. She and Leslie were together sometime 2002-2008, and she was alone sometime in that period and now. You can't be sure it's her. Unless you contact her. It seems very very likely it's her.

I just answered your PM before seeing that. That is most excellent news, most excellent. Fingers and toes crossed.

Sally Sally Sally!

You need to start a whole new thread about Camilla -- even though this one was supposed to be about her. I think.

And when you do you need to organize it a bit -- see the nice white spaces in my posts? You get them by hitting the Enter key twice when you get to the end of a thought. It is So much easier to read that way.

I'm brainfried at the end of a long week. Lulabelle may be on to something there, but it's going to all go over my head right now.

I really suggest leaving it for a new thread, because everybody else is much more likely to read a new one than one 3 pages long.

When you start it, come here and click on lulabelle's and my names, and send us messages to tell us - especially lulabelle. And copy her information into your new thread, so that nobody does it over again.

I will keep everything crossed -- and the worst case scenario is that you have your uncle to come to the wedding now!

Meanwhile, come and have a read of our project for the week!

The Bethnal Green Tube Disaster memorial.

It looks like Von ???? on the original census page, but has probably been mistranscribed....maybe someone else can have a look and see.

I have had a look on the 1891 but can't see the family on there...again maybe someone who has an ancestry sub can do it on there...

And I agree with Evie, start a new posting regarding this as it's starting to get a bit confusing with all the different info on here.
