The other thing I found was a death

Jane Balchin 1880 June 1/4 Reigate 2a 103

Jane Balchin (I wonder if she divorced or separated that could be why she reverted to her maiden name and the kids to her maiden name - they may not have done it by deed poll either - it wasn't unknown for them to just change thir names - I had a dreadful time finding Clarissa Fisk, my mum-in-laws maternal 1/2 aunt - by the time she got married in early 190's she was Clara Oxborough -she shortened Clarissa and adopted her mum sirname to her 2nd husband and not legally!!)

Sorry I couldn't find more

Hi Leanne welcome to the boards

As this thread is over 4 years old and Charlie Chuckles didn't return to answer the last requests...I doubt whether she will see this one

Could you please start a thread of your own by clicking on 'Add Topic' at the top of the page

You really should post your own request Leanne, as advised above...however, to find info, buy the cert of his marriage to your mother (assuming they were married, of course)

This is the death.....bear in mind that the birth date is only 'as known'

If the informant knew where he was born, that info will be on the cert
